Hi VPN fans.
So I have zerina 0.95.b installed on my ipcop 1.4.21 by hacking the install script.
And it works beautifully
with Openvpn for windows XP
And it works wonderfully
with Openvpn for Windows Mobile 6.1 (with a single line tweak in my "setupvpn.ovpn" file)
And it works flawlessly
from the command line in mandriva linux 2008.1
So life is almost perfect.....But..... How...** FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ** can you start openvpn under kde 3.x when you have your .pkcs12 file password protected ?
I have pulled out all of my remaining hair trying to achieve this !
I cannot write my own script using --askpass /etc/openvpn/mykeyishere
it will not accept it
I cannot use drakvpn
(it wont ask me for the pcks12 password)
I cannot use kvpnc
(it tells me "my freeswan password should not be 0 or less than 4 chars"...WHAT ??)
I cannot use openvpn-administrator
(it loads to the taskbar I maximise the window, click on NEW , it closes never to return)
So I have to run it from command line every time ???
oh yes "linux is ready for the desktop / netbook" ??
Is there any
kde based vpn admin tool that will work with openvpn and a password protected pkcs12 file
whilst I still have a few hairs left on my head to pull !!
regards / schuss
