Hello,

I have a problem with the OpenVPN server,

I have installed Windows Home Server on a machine and it has a website running on port 443. WHS server is running on ip 192.168.5.20 I have also installed Open VPN virtual server and is running on 192.168.5.30. The Open VPN is also running a website on port 443. I have set up all the correct settings in my router and can connect to the VPN, VPN tunnel also works etc.

The problem for me is the website...because port 443 is used for my WHS and also for the OpenVPN I can only use 1 website either the WHS or the OpenVPN. If I route the 443 traffic to the Open VPN server and then type in the url https://XXXX.homeserver.com/ then it will show me the OpenVPN website...and vice versa. But I would like to get both the sites running, on port 443! (like https://XXXX.homeserver.com/ for the WHS homepage and https://XXXX.homeserver.com/VPN/ for the Open VPN).

Is there anyway I could do this ?? I have already tried to create a redirector using hostheaders in IIS manager on the WHS server redirecting it to the OpenVPN, but that does not appear to work(but if it did, then the VPN tunnel would probably stop working aswell :S ). I have currently set the OpenVPN port to 3343 wich works but the proxy they have in the company blocks out everything except port 80 and 443...

Im not very experienced with Linux/Unix or whatever the OpenVPN is running on...

Thanks for any help!

hmm.. here any machine has on each port one service , you can not use 2 different services on the same
if + port( + protocol) .. but, with a U*X-machine i take a new (virtual) interface on an other IP ..and problem is solved. I am not to deep inside the whs ...
(why to use port 443 for openVPN ..simply use an other ?)..the client can use any source port ( nobind option)..or try tto split beteen udp/tcp ..for services.
