Hello,

I'm trying to create my own OpenVPN install package.
I've downloaded openvpn-2.1.1-install.exe from openvnp.net.

I would like to create an intallation package to WindowsXP which:

1. doesn't ask anyting during the installation, but only where to install the program.
2. doesn't install OPENVPN RSA certificate management scripts and PKCS#11 DLLs

My questions are:
1. How can I do this? What shall I edit/delete in the .nsi file?
2. Where can I find the needed .nsi file for this?

Thank you in advance,
Tamás

all correct openvpn is the "thing" what makes the tunnel...no more!
you may user EasyRSA ..or openSSH an make certificates yourself..or you use an existing pki-environment..or..

look for documentation - how to make a control-file ( *.ovpn)
what to do to act as a server and what to do to act as a client. There are some nice examples.. (IPCop with openVPN on an Alix-board..)

Thank you, but my problem is not that how to use Openvpn.
I can use it.
I just woul like to create my own install package, because I have to use it for 100pc-s and I would like to create a packege wich size is smaller than default, and tha install would be easier, bccause I would like make it "silent" so it wouldn't ask anything but the destination folder, so the users couldn't make misstakes...

Yes you must modify the NSI script. You will find everything in the source package in the install-win32 subdirectory.

Hi

I used NSIS once but I'm not used to it. But it's not too hard to learn the script language. There's a very good documentation... see http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Docs/
I'm not sure if it is possible to install the TAP driver without user interaction. As far as I have seen, most installers disable the driver signing check before they start the installation to overcome this problem.
